This opportunity is not that at all. It’s the kind of work that real companies pay real digital merchandisers to do. How do I know? I’ve worked for several companies in the area that hire those with Digital Merchandising & Retailing degrees. I’ve worked in other realms of digital marketing for 15 years. It may be a “new” degree, but e-commerce has been around for more than 27 years. Thus, smart knowledge workers and entrepreneurs were building online empires from the ground-up before it existed as a degree.
We’re looking for Digital Advertising & Marketing track majors. Do you eventually want to work for an advertising agency or a .com retailer that sells products online? THIS will give you the experience you need.
These positions are in e-Commerce and merchandising, but not in in fashion or apparel. We’re dealing with products that have been around and considered valuable for 1,000s of years.
While you’re working, I commit to teaching you search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), affiliate marketing, effective blogging, content marketing, email marketing, and other digital marketing channels from 13 years’ experience and more than 100 websites of which I’ve learned from.
We will invest in you with a wealth of training and experience, and you don’t have to “feel bad” if you quit after you’ve learned all you can. It’s just a part of the cycle. You’ll be able to put on your resume REAL experience in these areas that are in HIGH demand currently.
