MK Barz and Bullion is a true boutique mint, issuing limited editions of hand-poured silver bullion and coinage. The company utilizes several independent artists to craft original designs, and there is a large variety of designs and non-traditional shapes of bullion available.

The mint was founded in 2014 in Los Angeles, CA. The mint was formed by a silver coin collector of 35 years in partnership with a co-owner whose family operated an independent bronze foundry. The company’s love of coins and artistry shines through in their hand-crafted bullion production process.

MK Barz has emerged as a unique option for bullion collectors. The indie mint goes beyond just rounds, bars, and ingots but creates bullion in a wide range of themed 3D shapes such as skulls, guns and figures. The mint also produces both highly detailed laser engraved coins, as well as rustic hand-stamped coins.

Below is an example of a 3D piece produced by MK Barz. Called the “Lil Chaos Skull”, this piece ways 4 troy ounces.

Next is a hand-stamped reproduction of the ancient Owl of Athena tetradrachm coin first minted in Athens, Greece around 480-420 BC.

Here are a couple of Liberty Bell shaped bars produced by MK Barz. They weigh two troy ounces each.

Finally, here is an example of a limited edition piece produced by MK Barz. This eight troy ounce “Mayan God” medallion is sand-casted in fine silver. Like other MK Barz limited edition pieces, production was limited to 500 pieces.

Executives

The primary founder and owner of MK Barz is Michael Kabrin. Kabrin is also an inventor with a patent pending for a new kind of environmentally friendly dental floss, and he also developed a batting aid training device for youth baseball players.
