How is intrinsic value calculated?

There are many ways to estimate the intrinsic value of a stock or company; discounted cash flow analysis, asset-based analysis, and price-to-earnings ratio analysis are all common techniques. The basis for all of these is that the actual amount of revenue and cost of operation is being estimated. Keep in mind that no formula to determine intrinsic value is always accurate.
