What is the Sheldon Grading Scale?

The Sheldon Grading Scale is a numerical system that grade’s coins on their objective quality. The scale goes from 1-70, with scores above 60 reserved only for Uncirculated Coins. The higher the score, the closer that coin is to being ‘perfect’ i.e. free from wear and tear. Coins with higher official scores are held at a higher value than one.
