What are silver certificates worth?

This depends greatly on the quality and year of the certificate. Silver certificates issued between 1935 and 1957 are only worth slightly over their face value. Earlier Silver certificates, such as the 1896 design can sell for over $4000. 1878-1880 bills are even rarer and may fetch over $5000 each.
