What is ANACS?

The American Numismatic Association Certification Service was founded by the American Numismatic Association (ANA) in 1972 in order to provide reliable service in numismatic appraisal. This non-profit organization provides services in grading coins, medals, and paper money for a small fee. Certified associates of ANACS can appraise most coins, medals, and paper money from all time periods in the United States.
