What is pound Advp?

A pound Advp refers to the common weight of ‘pound’ that we find in America today. When the pound was first introduced, there were no regulations to define exactly what a ‘pound’ was. In order to standardize the pound, the avoirdupois (Advp) system was introduced and standardized in the 13th century.
