What is a Gram?
Unit of measurement represented by (g). Metric unit that measures the mass, or amount of matter, an object contains. Mass is used to describe the amount of an element, such as gold or silver, within an alloy. The weight of an object is different. Weight cannot describe how much of precious metal is within an alloy, or its fineness.
