What is a Roosevelt Dime?

Name of the current design for a U.S coin with a nominal value of 10 cents. The coin features a bust of F.D. Roosevelt and replaced the U.S Mercury dime in 1945. The coin was minted with silver until 1965. Only dimes struck in Philadelphia, marked with a ‘P’, in 1982 have any numismatic value.
