Anonymous Mint

Pennsylvania-based mint Anonymous Mint was founded in 2014. We presume this based on when their domain was registered. There is not a history page on their website, thus we don’t know for sure when this private mint was founded. There is not a wealth of information on Anonymous Mint, possibly based on their positioning and how they want to be portrayed in the market place. They have a wide variety of original and immaculately-designed silver and copper rounds, most of all of  which come in limited editions and are only minted in small batches. Engraver/artist Julie Lindquist is Anonymous Mint’s lead coin designer.

We love their designs, however their website leaves a bit to be desired. We won’t judge them too harshly on that. The brainchild behind their works has obviously done their homework when it comes to Celtic history and the like. With a vast number of Nordic gods and creatures, the detail of their rounds is second to none. Being in the same state as  the original government mint, we’re sure the thought of casting their own played a role in the formation of the mint’s origins.

Reviews of Anonymous Mint

Anonymous Mint is best known among collectors for their high-quality beautifully designed rounds. Featuring special collections by well-known artists like Lisa Brown and Anne Stokes, Anonymous Mint regularly receives acclaim for the aesthetic quality of their unique coins.

A few commenters on the online message board Reddit have questioned the collectors’ value of the coins. Because of their elevated artistry, Anonymous Mint sells limited edition coins for quite a premium over spot prices. As Anonymous Mint is relatively new to the industry, it remains an open questions as to whether their rounds will grow in value as collector’s items. We feel that there is no denying the visual appeal of their coins. If that is your primary interest in collecting bullion, you can’t find much better than Anonymous Mint.
